Initially, performing the art activity was quite weird because the paint I bought was for kids stating how it was non-toxic and washable. However, after uncapping the top, it smelled horrible but I still proceeded on the activity. While moving my fingers, it felt really soothing because the paint was so cold while the weather was extremely hot. I believe that finger painting was extremely fun and a good way to take a break from studying for midterms, but it was extremely difficult to get the paint out of nails. After washing my hands three times, it was still stuck under my nails no matter how hard I tried. Overall, I really like creating pieces of art that have no subject because I don’t have to try extremely hard to produce a certain thing. To be honest, I prefer having no subject because you can let your mind go free and use your imagination to decipher the abstract painting. Comparing the finger painting piece to other artworks I have seen, it looks much more simple. The other artworks I have seen have much more details and utilize more colors that work together in order to make the art piece stick out.
